Domestic agricultural machinery jumps into "ballet" in narrow terraces

 The reporter learned on April 25 that the "Agricultural Tank 1#" unmanned driving platform was recently released in Chongqing Modern Agricultural High-tech Park. This intelligent agricultural machinery equipment was independently developed by the Institute of Information of Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It adopts innovative designs such as all-terrain adaptive walking and multi-mode power collaborative output, providing a new solution for the mechanization of agriculture in hilly and mountainous areas.

  "As a typical representative of mountain agriculture, Chongqing has large land slope, fragmented plots, and heavy soil." Zhou Rui, director and researcher of the Information Institute of Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said that this puts high requirements on the operating accuracy, endurance and adaptive horsepower of unmanned agricultural machinery.

  The platform pioneered the "AI terrain response dynamic system", integrating 5G communication, Beidou navigation and RTK positioning technology to realize real-time collection of three-dimensional coordinates at the centimeter level in farmland. The system can automatically identify job boundaries, obstacles and special areas to generate dynamic obstacle avoidance paths.

  At the display site of the citrus base of Chongqing Modern Agricultural High-tech Park, after technicians set up the route on their computers, the "Agricultural Tank 1#" drove smoothly along the planned route, and even on narrow field roads, they could smoothly complete small radius steering and turn in place. After adding rotary tillage machines at the end of the platform, the farmland operations can be completed efficiently.

  "This is thanks to our original crawler-type universal chassis, which adopts unilateral power coupling technology. With the support of this technology, the left and right half axes of the unmanned operation platform can be independently forward and reversed, and the in-situ steering is achieved on a 2-meter-wide terrace." Zhang Xianfeng, an engineer at Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said that under heavy load conditions, the maximum distributable power of the "agricultural tank 1#" unilateral crawler can exceed 40%, which can easily cope with complex environments such as heavy soils.

  In order to provide sufficient power for mountain agricultural machinery, the "Agricultural Tank 1#" is equipped with the industry's first PHEV gearbox. This allows the "Agricultural Tank 1#" to achieve precise and intelligent control with the help of electric transmission, provide basic conditions for upgrading unmanned driving, and make full use of the advantages of the engine's high horsepower and long battery life to ensure agricultural production efficiency. At present, "Agricultural Tank 1#" has obtained two patents for power system inventions, and the core technology is completely independent and controllable.

  As an unmanned multi-functional operation platform, the "Agricultural Tank 1#" power output port is adapted to a variety of operational equipment such as rotary tillers, seeders, and pharmaceutical implementers, so as to achieve "one platform, truly universal" and meet the diverse agricultural production needs of all terrain.

  "We have also built a 'dual-end interconnection' remote control system. Farmers can view the farmland digital twin map through their mobile phones or computers, and adjust the operation path and agricultural machinery parameters in real time."
