Yesterday, the HICOOL 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Competition was launched, and tens of thousands of outstanding entrepreneurial projects around the world from 12 cutting-edge technology tracks will compete fiercely.

　　Focusing on the construction needs of Beijing's high-level talent highland and keeping up with the forefront of global scientific and technological innovation and key industries, this year's competition focuses on 12 cutting-edge science and technology tracks, including integrated circuits/quantum information, artificial intelligence/robots, 5G/6G/Internet of Things/smart cities, blockchain/financial technology, medical health/medical devices, biotechnology/health services, high-end instruments and equipment/general key components, key new materials/new energy/energy conservation and environmental protection, intelligent equipment/new energy smart cars, software and information services/technology services, modern agriculture/food technology, cultural creativity, etc. Among them, the Shunyi competition area will host competition selections for software and information services/technology services, key new materials/new energy/energy conservation and environmental protection, intelligent equipment/new energy intelligent vehicles, integrated circuits/quantum information, general-purpose key components, cultural creativity and other tracks. From now on, more than 2,000 entrepreneurial projects from the above fields will be fiercely contested in Shunyi District for several weeks.

　　Next, the HICOOL competition will be held in Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore. In addition to the Shunyi competition zone, Beijing will also be held in the Economic and Technological Development Zone, Dongcheng, Xicheng, Haidian, Fengtai, Changping, Daxing, Pinggu and Huairou competition zones. Each competition zone will host the corresponding track events based on local industrial advantages. Finally, a total of 200 winners were generated, including first prize, second prize, third prize and winning prize.

　　This year marks the sixth year of the HICOOL Global Entrepreneurship Competition. The radiation effect and global influence of the competition continue to increase, attracting 10,055 entrepreneurial projects and 13,150 entrepreneurs from 139 countries and regions around the world to actively participate. The number of projects and the number of participants "divided over 10,000" for the first time, an increase of 36% year-on-year, achieving a milestone breakthrough.

In the past six years, HICOOL has expanded and upgraded the track, laid out its global network, optimized resource empowerment, has a stronger international color, more young entrepreneurs, a wider overseas "circle of friends" and a greater brand influence. 　　It is understood that as of this competition, the HICOOL Global Entrepreneurship Competition has attracted 45,000 entrepreneurial talents and 34,000 high-quality projects from 167 countries and regions around the world in the past six years, and has successfully incubated 1 listed company, 16 unicorn companies and 157 specialized and new enterprises. The total amount of financing after the winning projects exceeded 44.6 billion yuan.

　　Yesterday, the second phase of HICOOL Fund was announced to be launched. As the official supporting venture capital fund of the "HICOOL Global Entrepreneur Summit and Entrepreneurship Competition", HICOOL Fund focuses on providing solid financial guarantees for high-growth high-quality entrepreneurial projects emerging on the HICOOL platform, helping projects grow rapidly. The first phase of the fund has achieved remarkable results, and the second phase of the fund will be further upgraded.
