The three-day 2025 Asian International Maritime Defense Exhibition closed at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore on the 8th. The Chinese naval missile frigate Xuchang and the minesweeper Chishui, who participated in the defense exhibition, made their debut on the international stage together with naval ships from all over the world.
The Asia International Maritime Defense Exhibition is one of the influential defense events in Asia. It has attracted more than 100 companies from many countries and regions around the world to participate and has concentrated on displaying the latest maritime scientific and technological achievements in the fields of artificial intelligence technology, ship power systems, etc. my country has participated in the exhibition for many consecutive years. The Navy Xuchang ship participating in this exhibition is a 054A missile frigate independently developed by my country. It has a hull number of 536 and a full load displacement of more than 4,000 tons. It has the ability to assault seas and air defense and anti-missile capabilities. Since joining the list in 2017, he has participated in major exercises and training tasks and maritime escort operations many times. The Navy Chishui Ship is a 082Ⅱ mine hunting and sweeping ship independently developed by my country. It has a hull number of 729. It can perform mine hunting and remote-control mine sweeping tasks, protect the navigation safety of waterways and important ports. It is vividly called the "pioneer". During the Defense Exhibition, the Chinese Navy Xuchang ship organized a number of ship opening activities, and more than 1,000 Chinese and overseas Chinese, foreign friends and others boarded the ship to visit one after another. The officers and soldiers carefully designed the visiting route and arranged a special person to explain. The overseas Chinese who was interviewed said excitedly: "The first time I came here, I felt very shocked. The ship was much larger than I thought. I also saw a lot of weapons when I visited the ship, all of which I had never seen before. If I had the chance, I hope I could come more."
Relevant military experts said in an interview with media reporters that the Chinese Navy's choice of these two types of ships to participate in the exhibition was a decision made after considering the geographical environment, marine and sea conditions near Singapore, and the maritime security threats faced by the region.
