Xinhua News Agency, Doha, May 10 (Reporter Wang Qiang and Chen Xiao) Iranian Foreign Minister Aragic said when attending the 4th Arab-Iran Dialogue Conference in Doha on the 10th that Iran has no intention to develop nuclear weapons, but adheres to the legal right to peacefully use nuclear energy.
In his speech, Aragzi said that Iran has always been a loyal member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and that Iran insists on the right to peacefully use nuclear energy, including uranium enrichment, under the framework of international law. “We have no intention of seeking nuclear weapons, and weapons of mass destruction have no place in Iran’s national security strategy.”

Aragic criticized some Western countries for pursuing double standards on nuclear issues. He said some countries expressed concerns about the peaceful nuclear plans of Iran and other countries in the region, but were silent on the other hand that a regime that "occupied, aggressed and committed genocide" had a large number of nuclear weapons.
Aragzi said that Iran will continue to consult with the United States, Europe and other aspects in good faith. He stressed that if the goal of the negotiation is to ensure that Iran will not acquire nuclear weapons, an agreement can be reached; but if it tries to deprive Iran of its nuclear rights or makes other unrealistic and unreasonable demands, Iran will firmly safeguard its legitimate rights and will never give in.

Aragzi said on the 9th that Iran agreed to hold the fourth round of indirect talks with the United States on the 11th.
Iran and the United States held the first round of indirect talks in Muscat, the capital of Oman on April 12. This is the first time that the two sides have officially started negotiations since the United States unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear agreement in May 2018. Since then, the two sides held two rounds of indirect talks on April 19 and 26 respectively.
