Xinhuanet, Beijing, May 11th. As the 2025 National Vocational Education Activity Week officially started, the Ministry of Education’s Vocational Education and Adult Education Department jointly with Xinhuanet to carefully create a series of 6-episode micro-interview programs "Integration of Industry and Education Craftsmanship and Building Dreams", which will broadcast the first episode on May 12, 2025.
At present, my country's vocational education has opened more than 1,400 majors and more than 120,000 professional points, covering all major areas of national economic and social development. In recent years, more than 70% of the new front-line practitioners in modern manufacturing, strategic emerging industries and modern service industries have come from vocational colleges, and vocational colleges have become the main battlefield for cultivating craftsmen, skilled craftsmen and high-skilled talents in major countries.
The essence of industry-education integration is the organic connection between the education chain, the talent chain, the industrial chain, and the innovation chain. It is necessary to establish an ecosystem of collaboration between the four parties of "government, administration, enterprise and school". Since the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the "Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Construction of the Modern Vocational Education System" in December 2022, the Ministry of Education has guided the construction of 8 provincial modern vocational education systems, 2 national-level industry-education integration communities, and 28 national-level urban industry-education consortiums. The ability of vocational education to serve regional economic and social development and national strategies has been continuously enhanced.
This series of interviews aims to build a platform for governments, industries, enterprises and schools to jointly discuss vocational education. It will invite local government leaders, entrepreneurs, school secretaries and principals, front-line teachers, students and other diverse subjects to discuss experience and results in core issues such as the effectiveness of practices in the reform and development of vocational education, the growth and development of high-skilled talents, and the high-quality development of vocational education in the service of regions and industries, so as to make the important role of vocational education more sensible and accessible.
