Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a regular press conference on the 12th that under the current international situation of chaos and intertwining, President Lula's visit to China is of great significance.

  Lin Jian said that China and Brazil are both major developing countries, major emerging market countries in the world, BRICS countries and important members of the global South, and the bilateral relations have always been at the forefront of China's relations with developing countries. Last year, China-Pakistan Long celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. President Xi Jinping successfully paid a state visit to Brazil. The two heads of state jointly announced that they would elevate bilateral relations to a China-Pakistan community of shared future together with a more just world and a more sustainable planet, and would connect the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative with Brazil's development strategy. China-Pakistan relations have entered a new historical stage.

  Lin Jian said that President Lula is an influential leader of Latin American power and a senior international politician. This visit is President Lula's sixth visit to China and the second time President Lula has visited China since 2023. China believes that under the current international situation of chaos and intertwining, this visit is of great significance and will further enrich the strategic connotation of China-Pakistan community with a shared future, and demonstrate China and Pakistan's firm willingness and responsibility to lead southern countries around the world to strengthen unity and cooperation and promote regional and world stability and prosperity.

  "During the visit, President Lula will also attend activities such as the opening ceremony of the Fourth Ministerial Meeting of the China-Latin America Forum.
