The countermeasures China has taken are to safeguard its sovereignty, security and development interests and maintain normal international trade order, which is completely legitimate. The US threat of escalating tariffs on China is a mistake and it has once again exposed the blackmail nature of the US, and China will never accept this. The spokesperson said: "China reiterates that there is no winner in the trade war and there is no way out for protectionism. Pressure and threats are not the right way to deal with China.
