Sinovac Group and Brazilian partners sign vaccine cooperation agreement

On May 12, under the witness of Brazilian President Lula, Beijing Kexing Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Kosing Group") signed a vaccine cooperation agreement with Brazilian pharmaceutical company Eurofarma. The two sides will establish a China-Pakistan vaccine production platform, and the variety of vaccines produced jointly will not only supply Brazil, but also supply more southern countries.

Brazilian Health Minister Alexander Padilla, Brazilian Presidential Office Chief Minister Rui Costa, Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, Sinovac Group President and CEO Yin Weidong, Vice President Meng Weining, and Latin American International Organization Director Cinthia Luci attended the signing of the day.

On the morning of May 13, Alexander Padiglia and his party made a special trip to visit the Sinovac Vaccine Quality Research Center in Changping District, Beijing. Padiglia expressed high praise for the company's previous cooperation with local partners in Brazil and achieved fruitful cooperation results.

Over the years, Sinovac Group has joined hands with partners from Latin American countries such as Brazil, Chile, and Colombia to carry out diversified cooperation from vaccine research and development, clinical research and localized production.

In April 2024, Rio Grande Sul in southern Brazil suffered severe floods. Sinovac Group quickly responded to the demand of the Brazilian government and urgently supplied the inactivated hepatitis A vaccine to Brazil within two months to help local post-disaster infectious diseases prevention and control.

Internationalization is the long-term development strategy of Sinovac Group, and Brazil and Latin America are important development areas for the company. The company will not only provide vaccines and related technologies to Brazil and Latin American countries, but will also bring more investment in cutting-edge biomedical technologies and seek more cooperation in the broader medical and health field. Sinovac will take root in Latin America and contribute to the long-term development of China-Latin America relations, including Brazil.
