Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, April 8 (Reporter Dai Xiaohe) The reporter learned from China's Petroleum Pipeline Administration Engineering Co., Ltd. on the 8th that the "four-complete" pipeline welding inspection robot independently developed by my country has achieved large-scale application and significantly improved construction efficiency.
Jin Hongxing, the welding responsible officer of China Petroleum Pipeline Administration, said that the "four complete" means all steel pipe diameters from 33 mm to 1422 mm; all terrain such as mountains, swamps, deserts; all weld types such as straight pipes and straight pipes, straight pipes and bent pipes, bent pipes and bent pipes, bent pipes and bent pipes, and bent pipes and bent pipes; fully automatic welding ultrasonic detection. These scenarios and processes are mainly automatically completed by four robots, which form a welding "team team" to fill many industry gaps. In the construction of East Africa's crude oil transmission pipelines, the one-time welding pass rate of this robot "team" reached more than 98%. At the same time, the use of single-pass welding materials has dropped from 2.9 kg to 1 kg, the oil has been reduced from 30 liters to 10 liters, and carbon emissions and smoke emissions have been reduced by more than 60%.
In the past, oil and gas pipeline welding mainly relied on manual welding and semi-automatic welding, accounting for as high as 80%. This traditional welding method has problems such as high labor intensity, high construction cost, and unstable welding quality.
Faced with these difficulties, the China Petroleum Pipeline Administration has gathered scientific and technological strength, established 15 scientific and technological projects, and developed the "four-complete" pipeline welding inspection robot equipment system. Taking the China-Russia East Line Project as an example, the diameter of the pipeline is 1422 mm, and it takes 7 hours for each weld to manually weld, and the robot only takes 1 hour. Compared with manual labor, the construction efficiency in plain areas is about 7 times and the construction efficiency in mountain areas is about 4 times. In addition, 100% solid welding wire is used to ensure the optimal performance of the ring welding joint.
At present, the "Four Complete" pipeline welding inspection robot has been widely used in China-Russia East Line, West-East Gas Pipeline Third Line, Sichuan Gas Pipeline Second Line and other projects. It has been certified by France Total and Saudi Aramco International, and has been fully launched in East Africa crude oil pipelines and Saudi Aramco pipeline projects.
This robot "team" also overcomes the problems of mountain construction, breaks through the bottleneck of continuous welding of 30° large slope mountainous areas at home and abroad, and reaches the world's advanced level. Jin Hongxing said that the robot "team" has three major advantages: double welding efficiency, green, low-carbon and environmental protection, and essential safety of pipelines, marking the technological leap from "handmade semi-automatic welding" to "robot automatic welding".
