The 2025 World Digital Education Conference Plenary Session was successfully held

  Xinhuanet Wuhan, May 16th. On the 15th, the 2025 World Digital Education Conference Plenary Session jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, the National Committee of UNESCO of China, and the People's Government of Hubei Province was successfully held.

  Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng attended the meeting, Vice Minister Wu Yan attended and presided over the plenary meeting, and heads of relevant national education departments, envoys to China, Chinese and foreign experts and scholars, and representatives of colleges and universities made speeches.

  The meeting pointed out that at this stage, universities, research institutions and industry partners around the world are working together to build a more interconnected, inclusive and smarter learning ecosystem. All parties should cross disciplines, industries and borders, and jointly ensure that every learner has access to powerful digital tools regardless of background, and jointly shape a smarter, fairer and more innovative future. The most important strategy for the development and transformation of education in the intelligent era is to improve the quality of education and cultivate high-quality talents who adapt to the intelligent era. Higher education institutions have an obligation to respond to artificial intelligence technology with a more proactive and in-depth attitude, and guide and regulate students' use of new technologies.

  Relevant Chinese experts and school representatives focus on the digital construction of basic education and higher education, and share the cutting-edge achievements and innovative practices of China's digital education. It is proposed to establish a global quality education development community cooperation alliance, strengthen high-speed and secure interconnection between education, science and culture in various countries around the world, and promote the cooperation and sharing of global data education network services and educational resources.

  This plenary meeting held a high-end dialogue session on digital education for the first time, and conducted in-depth discussions on multiple issues such as teaching models, talent training, educational equity, and technical ethics in the intelligent era.
