No one expected that "Stand Out V", which vigorously promoted the new work of the newcomer, became the "first chapter" of the 21st season of the Shanghai National Orchestra, and since then, it has begun the new year performance season with the "Nation of Poetry" as the main focus.

  Letting young talents start the new season is the first time since the launch of this series of four seasons in 2016. Eight national music rookies born in the 1990s and 2000s stood out. The 20th performance season of the folk band 2025-2026 is also very "young" - empowering traditional rhymes with AI technology, from the grand narrative of long poems to the lyrical chanting of contemporary national style, the representativeness of oriental aesthetics has become the direction they have always explored. This cultural audio-visual tour spans four seasons, with notes as brushstrokes and poetry as pursuits.

  This season's major original creation is "The Kingdom of Poetry", painted with audio-visual elements, and will premiere at the Shanghai Symphony Hall on November 12 and 13. Professor Luo Yuming of Classical Literature serves as the literary consultant and planning, and is composed by young composer Li Bochan, famous conductor Tang Muhai, resident conductor Yao Shenshen and the entire national orchestra. The concert will collect the essence of famous classical poetry from a cultural perspective, and carry the rhythm, cultural elements and aesthetic genes of the national music. It is a "cultural journey back home" that travels through thousands of years, with poetry music symphony and civilization pulsating.

  At the same time, with the concept of "tradition as the root and innovation as the wing", the folk music band launched five major sections this season and will interpret the infinite possibilities of national music from different directions.

  The "Made in Shanghai" sector will continue to launch a major performance of "Cultural, Tourism, Business and Sports Exhibition to Promote Consumption" during holidays. In July, the phenomenon-level resident performance and national music scene "Sea Life and Folk Music" ushered in the sixth round of 15 performances. The immersive sound field "Above the Clouds - Let the Audiology Start from the East" returns to the 1862 Art Center in October, inviting the audience to return to the embrace of natural, flexible, simple and simple oriental aesthetics. Two original performances "National Music Song of China" performed wonderfully during the May Day holiday, using the sound of national music to sing the beauty of Chinese culture. The first national music concert created by AI in the country, "Zero·One|China Color", uses technology to empower national music innovation and create a new atmosphere in the digital era. The project will not only be performed again at the Shanghai Concert Hall and the West Coast Grand Theater, but will also tour in Guangdong, Shenzhen, Hainan and other places.

  Since "Stand Out V", the "Youth Party" section will also launch a conversation between the orchestra Ruan player and the Japanese finger-playing guitar player - the concert "Encounter". The concert "Flying Song" by the soprano singer Wang Jing, who presents the original art of ethnic minorities in a contemporary musical context. The concert "IE" integrates the popular MBTI personality test into national music. The 16 musical songs correspond to 16 personalities, and uses music to decode the spiritual map. "The Boundary of Language - The Realm of Wordlessness" will explore emotions and experiences that cannot be reached directly.

  In the "Master Style" section, "Gu Guanren's "Jiangnan" Theme Concert" will lead the audience into the music world where Jiangnan charm and the new voice of the times are intertwined with many classic works. The "Mainpile" section, "Cao Yun Yangqin Special Concert" uses three different shapes of Yangqin family instruments, Yangqin, Santour and Simbaron, to play dialogue across the country. The "Family Joy" section includes the "Four Seasons" 2026 New Year Concert for New Year's Day, the "Flame Chinese New Year" New Year Concert and the "Happy and Peaceful Reunion Year" Lantern Festival Concert.
