CATL: Hong Kong Stock Exchange has reviewed the company's application for issuing H shares

IT Home reported on April 11 that CATL announced tonight that the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Listing Committee has reviewed the company's application to issue H shares and list on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, but the letter does not constitute a formal listing approval , and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange still has the right to make further comments on the company's listing application.

The announcement stated that the company's issuance of H shares still requires the final approval of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and other relevant regulatory agencies and stock exchanges, and there is still uncertainty in this matter .

IT Home noticed that CATL officially submitted an application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for issuing overseas listed foreign shares (H shares) and listing on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange . The sponsors include Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and other institutions .

In terms of issuance scale, CATL means that the number of H shares issued will not exceed 5% of the total expanded share capital, and will grant the overall coordinator an over-allotment right of up to 15%. Combined with Reuters and other sources, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing is expected to raise at least US$5 billion (the current exchange rate is approximately RMB 36.611 billion).

CATL said that this move is to further promote the company's global strategic layout, build an international capital operation platform, and improve its comprehensive competitiveness. The funds raised by CATL's Hong Kong stock listing are planned to be used to further expand international business, promote overseas project construction , and supplement overseas working capital.

The funds raised from the Hong Kong stock market listing will be focused on overseas capacity expansion, international business expansion and overseas working capital supplement, providing financial support for the company's long-term internationalization strategy.
