The finals of the second National College Student Career Planning Competition will be held in Changsha City, Hunan Province from April 16 to 19 . The schedule of the main event and the same period is as follows:

The competition is co-organized by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hunan Province. With the theme of " Building Dreams and Ambitions in All Parts, Planning to Start Jobs and Leading the Future ", it strives to build the competition into a large classroom for strengthening career education, a large platform for promoting the connection between talent supply and demand, and a large market for serving graduate employment.

In October 2024, the Ministry of Education issued a notice to hold the second National College Student Career Planning Competition.

The competition adopts a three-level competition system for school competitions, provincial competitions and national finals . The school competitions are organized by each university, and the provincial competitions are organized by each local government.

All localities and universities will independently determine the number of contestants, group settings, competition links, review methods and award settings based on the competition growth and employment track plans. After completing the provincial competition selection, the national finals will be recommended to select the best contestants.

The main events of the finals include the student growth track and the employment track . The growth track has a higher education group and a vocational education group, and the employment track has a higher education undergraduate student group, a higher education graduate student group and a vocational education group.

The competition has a total of 15.07 million students , covering 2,763 universities .

At present, all school competitions and provincial competitions have been held.

The student growth track of the finals of the competition will be held at Hunan University . It will mainly examine the growth process of students establishing career development concepts, setting career goals reasonably, and continuously taking action around achieving goals and constantly adjusting. Through learning and practice, we will improve our comprehensive quality and professional ability, reflect the correct concept of career choice and employment, and participate in the competition will have an internship opportunity.

The undergraduate and vocational education groups and vocational education groups of the employment track will be held at Central South University , and the graduate and vocational education groups of the employment track will be held at Hunan Normal University . The employment track mainly examines their practical job hunting ability, compares the target career and job requirements, the fit of personal comprehensive quality and professional ability, and the adaptability of personal development paths and employment market demands. Participants can obtain job recruitment intentions.

The competition shows the diverse academic career planning and actions of college students. Through peer education, we inspire education with things around us, lead and encourage achievements around us, awaken more college students to enhance their career planning awareness, clarify their future career direction, and make full preparations for employment in advance. The Enterprise Heart Selection Group will issue internships and employment offers to the contestants at the competition site, helping graduates to understand the needs and recruitment standards of industry enterprises more deeply, and strive to build a platform for information exchange that adapts to supply and demand. During the finals, a series of activities will be held such as the "Xiangjiang Declaration" employment education theme activities, the teaching exchange and display activities for college students' employment and entrepreneurship courses, a special job fair and the "Thousand Schools and Ten Thousand Enterprises" supply and demand matching meeting.
