According to reports, six batches of emergency humanitarian earthquake relief aid supplies provided by the Chinese government to Myanmar have arrived and delivered, including 4,000 tents, 4,000 mosquito nets, 18,000 tarps, 4,000 sleeping bags, 10,000 blankets, more than 55,000 first aid kits, 10,000 solar lamps, 2,000 sets of cooking utensils, more than 38,800 first aid sanitary kits and 2,000 boxes of instant noodles, to help solve the urgent needs of the affected people. The Chinese Red Cross has set up two resettlement sites for the affected people in Mandalay, set up more than 170 tents and temporary bathrooms, carried out epidemic prevention and disinfection for more than 100,000 square meters, and provided emergency relief assistance and three batches of aid materials. It will then assist the Myanmar Red Cross to install temporary water purification facilities in Mandalay, Naypyidaw and Scheme. The China Rural Development Foundation jointly established 5 temporary resettlement sites in Naypyidaw and Mandalay, benefiting 27,852 people. The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Myanmar, the local Chamber of Commerce of China and enterprises have donated generously and have donated a total of over 10 billion Myanmar kyats (about 20 million yuan).
According to reports, China will implement its commitment to increase emergency humanitarian earthquake relief assistance to Myanmar, provide refined oil, prefabricated rooms, operating rooms, drugs, vaccines and other urgently needed materials, and send medical and epidemic prevention expert teams to Myanmar to carry out medical treatment and epidemic prevention and disinfection, send disaster assessment teams to conduct field inspections and assessments of earthquake areas, assist Myanmar to plan post-disaster reconstruction and disaster prevention and mitigation, and send cultural relics protection teams and structural testing teams to evaluate, inspect, repair and reinforce damaged cultural relics and buildings.
