As of the end of 2023, my country's elderly population aged 60 and above reached 297 million, accounting for 21.1% of the total population. The national strategy of actively responding to population aging is being vigorously promoted. Ma Jianzhong pointed out that in this context, "Traditional medicine has become an important way to deal with aging-related diseases and achieve 'healthy aging' with its unique concept of 'treating pre-diseases, adjusting the root cause, and promoting balance'."
Ma Jianzhong said that the expert team represented by Academician Wu Yiling uses theory to guide clinical practice, uses traditional Chinese medicine Qi and meridian theory to guide anti-aging research, and conducts in-depth clinical treatments and drug research and development. A large number of studies have confirmed that innovative drugs developed based on this theory have a significant improvement effect on overall aging and aging-related chronic diseases such as nerve, blood vessels, and reproductive systems. Nearly 20 SCI scientific research papers have been published, and the scientific research results have been published in international authoritative academic journals such as Plant Medicine and Pharmaceutical Biology.
"Today's Wuzhen is not only a witness of digital civilization, but also a source of traditional medical innovation." Ma Jianzhong said that he believes that with the joint efforts of experts, scholars and the industry at home and abroad, the anti-aging cause of traditional Chinese medicine will become a bridge connecting traditional wisdom and modern technology. "Let us walk hand in hand, let the thousand-year-old art of the Yellow Emperor rejuvenate the times, and contribute Chinese solutions to building a beautiful world of "being healthy and caring for you"!"
