  Xinhua News Agency, Hanoi, April 14 (Reporter Su Liang and Zhao Xu) On the evening of April 14, President Xi Jinping met with Vietnamese President Chen Qingmin at the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

  Xi Jinping pointed out that once again paid a state visit to Vietnam, he witnessed the new achievements made in Vietnam's innovation cause and personally felt the deep foundation of China-Vietnam friendship. At present, China is comprehensively promoting the great cause of strong country and national rejuvenation with Chinese modernization. Vietnam is about to usher in a new era of national development. Both sides are in a critical period of their respective development and revitalization. Faced with the international situation of chaos and intertwining, China and Vietnam must strengthen confidence in the path and system, strengthen unity and cooperation, continue to deepen the construction of a strategically significant China-Vietnam community with a shared future, work together to move towards modernization, and inject more stability and positive energy into the world.

  Xi Jinping stressed that China and Vietnam are both socialist countries led by the Communist Party, and their political direction is related to the future and destiny of the Party and the country, and the rise and fall of the cause. The top leaders of the two parties and the two countries should exchange views on bilateral relations and major issues of common concern in a timely manner, constantly build consensus, enhance mutual trust, and keep a steady direction, and ensure that the ship of China-Vietnam relations moves forward stably. We must continue to maintain counterpart exchanges and cooperation between the Party, legislative bodies, and political consultation organizations, and deepen exchanges on experience in governing the country. The two sides should take the opportunity of celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam and the "China-Vietnam Cultural Exchange Year" to inherit the red genes, make good use of red resources, enhance mutual understanding and friendly feelings between the people of the two countries, especially the young generation, and tie the friendly ties between the two countries closer.

  Xi Jinping pointed out that the National People's Congress of China and the Vietnamese Congress have frequent interactions and fruitful cooperation. The legislative bodies of the two countries should do more work in strengthening traditional friendship, ensuring the implementation of pragmatic cooperation, and strengthening multilateral coordination, carry out exchanges on the construction of socialist democracy and rule of law in their respective countries, and continuously enrich the connotation of a community with a shared future between China and Vietnam.

The Vietnamese parliament warmly congratulates China on its successful convening of the two sessions, and looks forward to close communication and cooperation with the National People's Congress of China, earnestly implementing the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, and making positive contributions to promoting common prosperity and development of the two countries and enhancing people's friendship.
