On April 16th, the 2025 Republic Minister's Voluntary Tree Planting Activity was held in the planning green space of Xiyuhe Flood Storage Area, Haidian District, Beijing. The event was themed "Performing tree planting obligations to jointly build a beautiful China", and 107 ministerial-level leading cadres from directly affiliated organs of the CPC Central Committee, various departments of the central state organs and Beijing attended.

  As soon as we get off the car, we will immediately put our labor in the work. At the tree planting site, everyone teamed up in groups, shoveled soil to build pits, cultivated soil and cofferdams, and watered water. They planted more than 1,200 seedlings such as pine, sophora, ginkgo, dry willow, crabapple, lilac, etc. After the tree planting task was completed, the ministers came to the breeding site and carried out labor such as pruning, fertilizing, hanging tree signs, and hanging pest trapping boards. While understanding the characteristics of the trees, they carefully operated them carefully and carefully. A total of nearly 800 trees were raised, and the labor scene was busy and orderly.

  The voluntary tree planting activity of the Minister of the Republic is jointly organized by the National Greening Committee, the Greening Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Greening Committee of the Central State Organs, and the Greening Committee of the Capital. It has been carried out 24 times in a row since 2002, with more than 3,800 ministerial-level cadres participating, and a total of nearly 45,000 trees were planted. The Minister of the Republic has taken the lead in fulfilling his responsibilities in "planting", and has played an important role and had an important impact in driving the whole society to participate in voluntary tree planting, promote national land greening, and jointly build a beautiful China.

  At present, there are eight types of voluntary tree planting in my country, including afforestation and greening, cultivation and maintenance, nature protection, seed recognition and adoption, facility construction, donation of funds and materials, volunteer services and other forms. In order to facilitate the public to participate in voluntary tree planting, the Office of the National Greening Committee has continuously improved its service guarantee capabilities, innovated the way for public to participate in voluntary tree planting, and used the National Voluntary Tree Planting Network, WeChat public accounts and mobile app to continuously promote the "Internet + National Voluntary Tree Planting" nationwide, and launched 61,000 various responsibilities and activities in 2024. The Office of the Capital Greening Committee has established 127 five-level "Internet + Voluntary Tree Planting" bases, and actively announces voluntary tree planting responsibility reception points every spring to provide services and convenience for citizens to participate in voluntary tree planting nearby.
