Yesterday, the Shenzhou 20 manned spacecraft and the Long March 2 F Yao 20 carrier rocket combination were transferred to the launch area. At present, the equipment of the launch site is in good condition. Various functional inspections, joint testing and other work before launch will be carried out as planned. It is planned to implement the launch at an appropriate time in the near future.
In the evening of that day, as the gate of the vertical assembly and testing factory of the launch site slowly opened, the ship and arrow combination walked through a 1,500-meter transfer road under the support of the movable launch platform and steadily stopped at the predetermined position. The whole journey took about two hours. Previously, the ship and arrow assembly had already "stand guard" at the launch site, continuing the tradition of "launch one and prepare one". Once an emergency occurs, the backup launch vehicle and manned spacecraft can quickly move from standby to launch to perform space station emergency rescue missions. (Reporter Liu Suya)
