 Tiangong, Kuafu, Xuanyuan, Zhuri, Shennong... On April 19, the world's first personal robot half-marathon will start in Yizhuang, Beijing. At present, in the base camp of the running group, nearly 20 teams from many cities across the country are busy carrying out adaptive training. Engineers, operators, and leading runners strive to help "sports" optimize and improve from all aspects.

  After completing a half marathon of more than 21 kilometers, human athletes compete for physical fitness and endurance, while the humanoid robots driven by motors compete for the advanced and stable technology. To reduce the load, the "big guy" needs to consider replacing lighter materials. To ensure the energy supply, the "small and short legs" must carry a more powerful battery with a stronger battery life. Robots of all sizes must adapt to the terrain and weather and successfully complete the climbing, crossing tracks, and finally crossing the line... At that time, the humanoid robot and human athletes will run in parallel, allowing the public to see the development level of cutting-edge technology more intuitively.

  This "robot mobilization" is a display of technology and another gathering to lead the development of the industry. From a technical perspective, current humanoid robots can not only do fine jobs such as embroidery and massage, but also jump, run, carry heavy objects, and even complete complex movements such as backflips and round kicks. However, long-distance dynamic balance is still a hard bone, which puts high requirements on the core technologies such as robot motion control, environmental perception, and energy endurance. As the technical director of the "Tiangong Team" said, if this competition is through, the ability of humanoid robots to conduct long-distance inspections or special scene operations can be improved, and they will be one step closer to serving humans when they enter the family.

  The waves are surging, and the future is coming. Humanoid robots are an integrated embodiment of artificial intelligence technology and are crucial to reshaping my country's manufacturing competitive advantages and accelerating my country's industrial transformation and upgrading. This year's "Government Work Report" specifically mentions that a future industrial investment growth mechanism will be established and future industries such as biomanufacturing, quantum technology, embodied intelligence, and 6G will be cultivated. The "Beijing Embodied Intelligent Technology Innovation and Industry Cultivation Action Plan (2025-2027)" also proposes that Beijing will use three years to strive to break through more than 100 key technologies, promote the implementation of 10,000 embodied robots, and cultivate a trillion-level industrial cluster. Summarizing experience in practice and gathering resources in exchange will definitely create more "incredible" human-computer interaction scenarios, and humanoid robots will also better serve people's livelihood.

  The medals in this competition are in the shape of a robot.
