With the theme of "new quality productivity leads the road to a strong film country", it officially kicks off a new prelude to China's film technology breakthrough and industrial upgrading in policy interpretation, project release, and ideological collision.

　　At the event, five representatives from leading enterprises and university research institutions took the stage one after another, releasing five "Beijing achievements" that show the integration of film and technology. From content creation to production process, from cultural inheritance to industrial upgrading, technology is no longer the "icing on the cake", but the core driving force for reconstructing industrial logic. Bona Film Group has created its first AIGC science fiction short drama "Sanxingdui: Future Apocalypse", Kunlun Wanwei released the world's first AI music reasoning model "Mureka O1", Betel Media System shows the full-chain application of AI in the film and television animation production process, Beijing Film Academy and Shengma Technology jointly launched the "Ultra-high-definition Chinese Element Image Generation Model", and Jilin Animation Academy released "Intelligent Bionic Technology", fully demonstrating the latest picture of the integration of film and television technology.

　　As a national cultural center, Beijing's film industry has deep accumulation and advantageous resources in the fields of creation, production, publicity and distribution, consumer market, art education, industrial research, etc., and various industrial development indicators rank among the top in the country. In 2024, Beijing films registered and approved 775 projects, with 240 films, accounting for more than a quarter of the country. The box office of 17 Beijing-made movies exceeded 100 million, accounting for 31% of the 55 domestic films in the country. There are more than 11,000 film and television companies registered and operated in Beijing, and there are 300-500 producers of the top 50 films in the annual box office.

　　As a center of science and technology innovation, Beijing attaches great importance to the development of the artificial intelligence industry and is building a source of artificial intelligence innovation and an industrial highland with global influence. In 2024, the scale of the core artificial intelligence industry in Beijing was nearly 350 billion yuan, and the related enterprises were more than 2,400, accounting for nearly half of the country. Among them, there are 36 unicorn companies, accounting for more than half of the country, ranking first in the development of the global artificial intelligence industry. 16 units in Beijing were rated as national cultural and technological integration demonstration bases, ranking first in the country.

At the meeting, relevant officials from the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, the Beijing Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Management Committee respectively issued and interpreted relevant policies to promote the integration of culture and technology and support the technological upgrading of the film industry.

　　In February 2024, "Several Measures to Promote the High-Quality Development of the Capital Film and Television Industry in the New Era" was issued, focusing on "creation leadership, creative support, technological innovation, and film services", encouraging the production of more mainstream themes and excellent works that reflect mainstream values, have value leadership and market appeal; increasing creative funding and support, increasing 200 million yuan each year to support the creation and production of excellent projects; promoting the construction of more film and television bases with high technical content and outstanding innovation advantages, and encouraging film and television crews to shoot and produce in Beijing.

　　In November 2024, "Several Measures on Cultivating New Cultural Forms to Vigorously Develop New Quality Productivity" was issued, further clarifying the development direction in the next five years. Focus on seven areas including film and television, online audio-visual, performing arts, publishing, cultural tourism, cultural and museums, and media integration, and drive the cultural industry to achieve structural optimization and business innovation.

　　In January this year, the "Beijing Science and Technology Empowers the Innovation and Development Action Plan for the Cultural Field (2025-2027)" was released. Starting from four dimensions: technological integration innovation, cultural facilities upgrade, benchmark application implementation, and ecological innovation development, it is expected that by the end of 2027, a number of integrated innovative technologies will be broken through, more than 5 major landmark cultural infrastructure will be realized, more than 10 scientific and technological empowerment cultural benchmark application scenarios will be created, more than 100 new technologies and new products will be promoted, and a number of integrated demonstration bases and industrial parks will be built, and a significant improvement in scientific and technological innovation capabilities in the cultural field will be promoted.
