On April 23, the first press conference of the 2025 SCO National Film Festival was held in Beijing. It was officially announced at the meeting that the 2025 SCO National Film Festival is co-organized by the State Film Administration of China and the People's Government of Chongqing, and hosted by the Chongqing Film Bureau and the People's Government of Yongchuan, Chongqing. It will be held in Yongchuan, Chongqing from June 23 to 27. The award settings, logos, main vision, trophy design, etc. will also be announced.

　　This SCO National Film Festival will set up a total of 12 awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenwriter, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Music, Best Art, Best Photography, Best Editing, and Special Jury Awards. The jury will be composed of each member state and observer state to recommend a film expert, and the Chinese judges will serve as chairman. The chairman of this jury is Ren Zhonglun, a famous Chinese film producer, screenwriter and professor.

　　Chongqing has a natural "movie filter" given by nature, which contains colorful stories of Bayu culture. It is the shooting location of more than 500 films including "Crazy Stone", "Hotpot Heroes", and "Youth of You". It has long become a treasure house of inspiration for global filmmakers.

　　At present, Chongqing is using technology to reshape the new pattern of the film industry. It not only has Yongchuan Western Science and Technology Film and Television City covering more than 150 film and television companies, but also has successfully built industrial platforms such as Liangjiang Digital Light and Shadow Laboratory and Banan Film and Television Post-production Base. It will soon introduce funding and reward methods for major literary and artistic quality projects to accelerate the construction of a full-chain and full-factor film ecosystem.

　　As the first cultural event with "film + technology" as the core under the framework of the SCO, the opening and closing ceremony of this film festival will be held in a 5,000-square-meter science and technology studio of "Yongchuan Technology Studio" for the first time.

　　The press conference officially announced the logo, main visual and trophy design of this film festival. The reporter saw at the scene that they all use the Chongqing camellia as the main design element, symbolizing the flowers of life, civilization and future that are jointly written and condensed by the SCO national filmmakers.

　　This year marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of world movies and the 120th anniversary of the birth of Chinese movies. The relevant person in charge of the organizer said that films will inject vitality into promoting the SCO national civilization concept of equality, mutual learning, dialogue and inclusiveness with the globally common artistic language.
