"Healthy Country, Vaccines Protect Ten Thousand Homes" Healthy Community "Immunization Action" Promotion Plan Launched

Under the guidance of the "Healthy China" strategy, the country advocates promoting the construction of healthy families with families as the basic unit, and requires medical institutions to transform from treatment-centered to health-centered. Combining medical and prevention, prevention as the main focus is the main path to promote the construction of a healthy China, and vaccination is one of the specific measures. As the main place for vaccination of various types, community health centers are crucial in improving the vaccination rate.

On the occasion of the National Vaccination Day and World Immunization Week, the "Healthy China Country, Vaccine Protection Ten Thousands of Homes - Healthy Community 'Immunization Action' Promotion Plan" hosted by Xinhuanet and jointly supported by the Vaccine and Health Branch of the China Medical and Health Culture Association and the Chinese Community Physician magazine was officially launched in Beijing on April 23. The project proposes to deepen new practices of community medical and prevention integration, promote local governments to form a new paradigm of adult prevention services, and to form replicable and popularizable experiences by soliciting excellent community cases in various places, and provide practical popular science guidance, strengthen health management services for key groups such as middle-aged and elderly people, effectively improve the accessibility and convenience of vaccination for common infectious diseases (shings, influenza and pneumonia), and comprehensively improve the quality of vaccination services.

Healthy Community "Immunization Action" Promotion Program Launch Ceremony

Multiple parties have proposed the practice of promoting the integration of medical and prevention, and released the "guarantee" for adult prevention to promote vaccination

my country is in the process of a deeply aging society. As we grow older, the risk of infection with the elderly has increased significantly. Diseases such as shingles, influenza, pneumonia, etc. not only affect individual health and quality of life, but also bring heavy economic burdens to families and society. As the most cost-effective means of public health intervention, vaccines are not only an important welfare for protecting individual health, but also a key tool for building a national immune barrier and achieving prevention-oriented and strategic goals.

Yang Qingbing, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Xinhuanet, Director and Vice President

At the meeting, Yang Qingbing, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Xinhuanet, Director and Vice President, introduced the main background and content of the "Healthy Country, Vaccines Protect Ten Thousand Homes - Healthy Community's Immunization Action Promotion Plan". He said: "We realize that promoting vaccination requires not only policy guidance and medical support, but also innovation of scenarios and mechanism implementation. As a key link connecting the government, medical institutions and individual residents, the community is the forefront of the implementation of the concept of prevention. Because of this, Xinhuanet and the China Community Health Association are jointly carrying out the solicitation of excellent cases of health literacy for the whole nation. This time, the Healthy Community's Immunization Action Promotion Plan is launched, hoping to give full play to the leadership and publicity responsibilities of the media's national team, with the media as the base and the community as the link, and work with the government, medical institutions, grassroots workers and thousands of families, so that vaccines can protect tens of millions of families, so that healthy China can bring welfare to each of us."

At this meeting, the "guarantee code" for adult prevention was also announced, including suggestions on adult vaccination schedules and ten questions and answers to community vaccination, providing practical guidance for adult vaccination and answering common confusions. The "Baodian" was initiated by Xinhuanet and was academically reviewed by Feng Luzhao, Vice Dean of the School of Medicine and Public Health of Peking Union Medical College, Li Juan, Researcher of the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as the Vaccine and Health Branch of the China Medical and Health Culture Association and the Journal of "China Community Doctors" as joint support units, further helping "Healthy China, Prevention first".

"Vaccine protection for thousands of families in healthy countries" "BaoDict" for adult prevention

Experts remind: middle-aged and elderly people and chronic disease groups need to understand the economic account of "vaccine protection"

Yin Zundong, Director of the Immunization Program Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention

Vaccines are not children's patents and are equally important for adults. Researcher Yin Zundong, director of the Immunization Program Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, introduced: "For the whole population, vaccines are the most economical and effective means from control to elimination and even elimination of infectious diseases. For example, the elimination of smallpox, the elimination of polio, and the significant reduction of hepatitis B virus carrier rate, the widespread vaccination of vaccines has played a key role. For adults, middle-aged and elderly people, the vaccination of influenza, pneumococcal and shingles can greatly reduce the risk of disease. The benefits of vaccination far outweigh the risks, and should be vigorously popularized and advocated to actively vaccinate."

Sun Ningling, chief physician of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of Peking University People's Hospital

There are common symptoms of multiple diseases among the elderly in my country. It is estimated that more than 78% of the elderly in my country suffer from at least one chronic disease, and about 220 million people over 60 years old who suffer from more than one chronic disease in my country. Sun Ningling, chief physician of the Department of Cardiovascular Internal Medicine at Peking University People's Hospital, reminded: "Patients with chronic diseases have a higher chance of suffering from infectious diseases than ordinary people because of their decreased autoimmune function and accompanied by inflammatory reactions. Taking shingles as an example, compared with ordinary people, patients with cardiovascular disease have an increased risk of herpes zoster by 39%. In a short period of time after the onset of shingles, the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction and stroke has an increasing trend."

Yue Jianning, chief physician of the Department of Pain, Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University

The pain caused by "shingles" in common infectious diseases is even more painful than delivery. Shingles can be specifically prevented by vaccination, but many middle-aged and elderly people still lack cognition and insufficient attention, which has caused them to suffer from the pain that could have been avoided. Yue Jianning, chief physician of the Department of Pain, Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, introduced the case that impressed him: "An old mother was unable to bear the post-herpes zoster neuralgia, which led to abnormal emotional anxiety. She often accidentally vented her emotions on her relatives, and the whole family would be shrouded in the 'shadow' brought by the pain. There are also patients whose shingles grow in the ears and eyes with dense nerves, resulting in a decrease in hearing and vision, and even the idea of suicide."

Feng Luzhao, President of the Vaccine and Health Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Vice President of the School of Medicine and Public Health, Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences

It is a cost-effective economic account for middle-aged and elderly people and chronic patients to know how to use "vaccine protection" to protect the body. Feng Luzhao, president of the Vaccine and Health Branch of the China Medical and Health Association and vice president of the School of Medicine and Public Health of Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, said: "For patients with chronic cardiovascular disease, vaccination with influenza, pneumococcal, shingles and other vaccines can reduce the risk of coexistence of multiple diseases and even reduce the risk of cardiovascular events. For example, data from Beijing shows that influenza vaccination can reduce the risk of cardiovascular events. In addition, more and more studies have shown that preventing certain viral infections. It can help delay cognitive decline. A large new study found that getting shingles vaccine can reduce the risk of dementia. At present, many patients with chronic diseases still do not know that chronic diseases can be vaccinated when they are in a stable period, and some patients have common vaccine hesitation. In fact, chronic patients should be the key group for actively preventing infectious diseases. Before vaccination, you can consult professional doctors on information on the protection effect, protection duration, vaccination contraindications, safety and other information of the vaccine, and conduct scientific vaccination."

Healthy Community Health Home, New Exploration of Vaccination

At present, the country vigorously advocates the use of the extensive service network of grassroots communities, strengthens the concept of prevention first, and promotes the public, especially middle-aged and elderly people, to actively prevent vaccination, build an immune barrier, reduce health risks, and thus reduce the burden on individuals, families and society, thereby achieving the health goal of "a healthy China, prevention first".

At the meeting, Yin Zundong said: "The country attaches great importance to grassroots public health work, and vaccination services continue to innovate and explore. Recently, the National Health Commission issued the "Notice on Issuing the List of Basic Service Packs for Family Doctors Signing (Trial)", proposing the content and service requirements of basic service packages for general populations and nine key groups, including targeted services for the elderly and patients with chronic diseases. Through family doctors providing health consultation for these key groups, on the one hand, doctors and contracted recipients have established a foundation of trust, and on the other hand, they can provide them with more personalized popularization of vaccine knowledge and guidance, which can further promote the public's enthusiasm for vaccination."

All localities actively respond to the health policy of medical and prevention collaboration and medical and prevention integration, and explored new practices of adult prevention services "according to local conditions". Feng Luzhao introduced: "In recent years, many medical institutions have set up "adult vaccination clinics" to achieve integration of evaluation, recommendation and vaccination, and greatly improved the convenience; more than a dozen provinces and cities across the country have implemented the "vaccine prescription" pilot program, changing "passive consultation" to "active intervention"; in addition, it has also been seen that many places have realized electronic prescription circulation and full-process traceability of vaccines, the application of AI health assistants, and more intelligent and digital information systems. These innovative practices are reshaping the "all-age-friendly" immune service ecosystem. Through continuous exploration and sharing, a replicable template has been formed, so that more places can join the wave of innovation to improve adult vaccination services, thereby prompting more publics to actively vaccinate and form a virtuous cycle."

In addition, the synergy of medical alliances has further promoted the improvement of adult prevention services. Sun Ningling said: "Take chronic disease management as an example. Daily management is in the community, and difficult and complicated diseases are in the tertiary level. As doctors in the tertiary level hospital, after evaluating the patient's chronic disease condition, we will recommend that they go to the community health service center to get vaccinated with common infectious diseases as soon as possible to protect themselves and to make their families feel at ease." Yue Jianning also said: "The information transmission between medical alliances will have a good effect on the primary and secondary prevention of diseases. Through medical technology exchanges and joint science popularization, the medical alliance has seen the public's awareness of disease prevention significantly in recent years."

Xu Jing, director of Baizhifang Community Health Service Center in Xicheng District, Beijing and director of China Community Health Association

As the "gatekeeper" of residents' health, the community health service center is the closest medical service place to residents' families, and undertakes the functions of residents' health management, service and education. In recent years, new explorations of adult vaccination by local communities have become one of the hot topics. Xu Jing, director of Baizhifang Community Health Service Center in Xicheng District, Beijing and director of the China Community Health Association, introduced: "Our center's average daily outpatient service volume is about 1,500 people. The vast majority of people who are treated are elderly people over 60 years old, and more than 80% are elderly people with chronic diseases. The prevention and diagnosis and treatment needs of the elderly hope that services are more convenient and personalized. On the one hand, we set up vaccination sites to various community health service stations, which are closer to residents. On the other hand, based on family contracted doctors, we provide residents with personalized consultation services for vaccination and support from the intelligent family doctor assistance system, making the services more professional and fast, and at the same time, strengthen daily education. We see residents' enthusiasm for consultation and vaccination gradually increase."

Yang Yingming, deputy director of Tiantong Yuanbei Community Health Service Center, Changping District, Beijing

Tiantongyuan, known as the "largest community in Asia", not only covers a large population, but also accounts for a relatively high proportion of the elderly. Yang Yingming, deputy director of Tiantong Yuanbei Community Health Service Center in Changping District, Beijing, introduced: "The permanent population of Tiantong Yuanbei Street is about 140,000, and the proportion of elderly people over 60 is as high as 21%. As a community center directly operated and managed by Beijing Tsinghua Chang Geng Hospital affiliated to Tsinghua University, Tiantong Yuanbei Community Health Service Center relies on the medical resources and family doctor teams of Tsinghua Chang Geng Hospital, we often open education activities that are of interest to the elderly, emphasize the importance of vaccination, and often go deep into nursing homes in the jurisdiction; in addition, community screening, diagnosis and treatment and follow-up services are carried out for middle-aged and elderly people, and vaccination risk assessment is conducted for the elderly with chronic diseases, and it is recommended to be suitable for vaccines. In recent years, it has clearly seen that the vaccination rate of influenza, pneumococcal, and shingles vaccines have increased significantly."
