Chinese Medicine provides original thinking to seize the international commanding heights of anti-aging

Recently, the China Aging Science Conference and the International Aging Biology Conference were held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. The conference is themed "Aging+" and brings together more than 1,200 experts, scholars and industry leaders from home and abroad, as well as editors and editors of more than 20 domestic and foreign academic journals such as "Nature Aging", to share rich experience and cutting-edge insights in the field of aging science, and is committed to contributing wisdom and strength to solve the global aging problem.

At the intersection of aging science forum, Professor Jia Zhenhua of Hebei Provincial Institute of Lianxue Innovation Medicine shared the latest research results in the field of anti-aging in traditional Chinese medicine with the title "Research on the Instinct and Qi and Spirit Theory of Qi and Spirit Guided Traditional Chinese Medicine Intervention".

In his report, Professor Jia Zhenhua focused on introducing the original theoretical system represented by the theory of Qi and Hui in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It starts from the holistic view of "Essence-Qi-Shen", reveals the core pathogenesis and systematic intervention paths of aging, and further demonstrates it through basic, animal and clinical evidence-based research. He further stated that the theory of Qi and meridian theory of Chinese medicine proposed the core pathogenesis of aging - "Deficiency of kidney essence is the foundation of aging, deficiency of vital energy is the key to aging, and loss of body and spirit is the manifestation of aging." The prosperity and decline of kidney essence runs through the entire process of life, growth, strength, aging, and development of people. Therefore, nourishing kidney essence is the key to anti-aging.

In the report, Professor Jia Zhenhua also introduced the world's first randomized, double-blind, multicenter, placebo-controlled clinical evidence-based study of anti-aging Chinese patent medicines published in the international authoritative journal Phytomedicine. After using Bazi Bushen Capsules to conduct 12-week anti-aging intervention on subjects, they found that Bazi Bushen Capsules can significantly improve the aging symptoms of premature aging population, improve physical and psychological aging status, enhance the exercise ability and endurance of the elderly, and improve the quality of life. At the same time, the subjects' telomerase activity (the gold standard recognized by the medical community for "maintaining telomeres stability and then resisting aging") was 76.7% higher than that of the control group taking placebo.

Professor Jia Zhenhua is presided over the "Research on the Evaluation Technology and Integration Mechanism of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the National Key R&D Program Project "Traditional Medicine Modernization" "Research on the Evaluation Technology and Integration Mechanism of the Qi and Guidance of the Theory of Qi and Spirit", focusing on aging diseases such as the heart, lung, brain, bone, muscle, etc., and has built a variety of aging models and multi-level evaluation systems. Through multi-system, multi-organization, and multiple organs, we will explore the biological mechanism of anti-aging in aging, revealing the biological basis of the core pathogenesis of aging, and opening up a new way for traditional Chinese medicine to intervene in geriatric diseases.
