The KMT News Agency quoted a written statement from the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea on the 27th that in accordance with the order of the North Korean head of state, the North Korean armed forces participated in the regaining operations in the Kursk region and made significant contributions to the regaining of the territory of the Russian Federation, "fully in line with the spirit of international law such as the UN Charter and the provisions of the North Korea-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty."
The statement said that the successful end of the Kursk region's recovery operation "is a new historical chapter that demonstrates the strong fighting friendship between North Korea and Russia and the highest strategic heights of the alliance and brotherly relations between the two peoples."
The statement said that North Korea decided to go to Russia to participate in the war at that time, Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Council, analyzed and determined that the war situation at that time was in line with the relevant provisions of the North Korean and Russia's Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty, and based on this, it decided that the North Korean armed forces would participate in the war and informed the Russian side.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Zakharova said on the 26th that North Korean soldiers fought in Kursk Prefecture and made significant contributions to the Russian army's recovery of the state.
Earlier on the 26th, when reporting to Russian President Putin that the Kursk Prefecture had been recaptured, North Korean soldiers provided great help to defeat the Ukrainian army in Kursk Prefecture in accordance with the Treaty of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Russia and North Korea.
