The humanoid robot industry is in a period of rapid development, and standardization construction has become an important driving force for promoting industrial development. Recently, the first batch of national standards for humanoid robot technology requirements have been officially approved. This marks a new level in the development of my country's humanoid robot industry and will inject strong impetus into the standardization of the industry and high-quality development.
Under the coordination of Beijing Machinery Industry Automation Research Institute Co., Ltd., the secretariat of the National Robot Standardization Technical Committee, Shenzhen UBIT Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "UBIT Technology"), Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd., Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and others jointly initiated the first batch of national standards in the field of humanoid robots in China, involving a number of technical requirements such as environmental perception, decision-making planning, motion control, and operation operations. Among them, Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd. took the lead in preparing the motion control technical requirements; UBEX Technology took the lead in formulating technical requirements for operation, standardizing smart operations, leg movement operations, double-arm operations, etc., filling the gaps in the field of humanoid robots in China.
Pang Jianxin, vice president of UBL Technology, said that various types of humanoid robots have appeared in the market, and have demonstrated their ability to carry, grab small objects, and do housework. However, the specific operating requirements of humanoid robots have not yet been unified, and technical standards are also lacking in product application acceptance and supervision. The formulation of national standards for humanoid robot operation and operation technology will help solve these problems and promote the progress of humanoid robot technology and industrial development.
Yang Qiuying, deputy chief engineer of the Productivity Center of Beijing Institute of Machinery Industry Automation Co., Ltd. and secretary-general of the Humanoid Robot Standardization Working Group of the National Robot Standardization Technical Committee, told Science and Technology Daily that clear standard guidelines can guide enterprises to carry out work in an orderly manner in technology research and development, product manufacturing, and market applications, ensure that humanoid robots have a high degree of effectiveness and reliability in practical application scenarios, and lay the foundation for large-scale mass production and widespread popularization.
Industry experts believe that with the gradual implementation of standards, my country's humanoid robot industry will innovate in standards and develop in innovation, and is expected to occupy a more favorable position in the global robot industry competition and bring more possibilities to economic and social development.
